Sangeet Sadhana is fake and money minded people . They are a bunch of money minded people who will make fake promises at the time of admission, but slowly as time passes you will realize that you are actually loosing your hard earned money and time.
My daughter joined Shankar Mahadevan online classes when she was just 5years old. She learnt from there for almost 9 months and then I decided to shift her to offline class for a better learning. After one class they called me and said my daughetr doesnt know anything in music and SMA has just looted money from us. The head of the institute Anindita Ma’m assured that she will ensure the proper learning of my child but I have to keep my daughter their for at least a year. She also asked me to register immediately as after July they wont start any new batch. I was happy and I placed my trust on them. Now I will share my experience hereafter for the 6 months:
1 First 2 months I was very enthusiastic and believed that everything is fine.
From third month I started realizing that they are taking new kids in between and putting in the same batch. This is continuing even till today, my child has completed 6 months over there.
There is no syllabus and no matter how hard you try you wont be able to see any growth in your child.
They have 2 classes in a week, each class of more than an hour duration. But you will fail to understand what your child did inside for almost 3 hours every week.
5 They promised for annual programme every year, but then I saw that there is nothing like that, instead during some festivals they will have their in house programme only that too organized in some nearby temples. And when I hinted them that I am planning to leave then they said next month we are going to have a very big concert. All lies.
6.I have paid my fee and this is valid till 18th of this month. But now when I have hinted that I am pulling off my child, Anita Mam has removed me from the whatsapp group of my daughters class. When I confronted that still half a month is left, then Swati Mam said she did it by mistake. A mistake can be corrected in a second, but it has been hours and she has not yet added me. They call themselves GURUS but they forgot that a GURU should atleast not lie.
I must say that in the name of preserving culture and tradition, they are just fooling people who comes to them with so much of expectations.
They will make a whatsgroup in advance to remind you again and again about the approaching fee payment date but I think they never remind themselves about their responsibility as a teacher.
I kept taking regular feedback from Anita Mam about my child about how she is performing in class. Her answer was always “She is Good”. And now when I have raised my concern then she is shifting the blame on my child and saying that my child is not singing in Sur Taal Laay. If this is true then why didnt she tell this to us earlier. What were they waiting for.
I would only say that with such unethical business practices Sangeet Sadhna can make short term money, but long term growth and respect comes only with honesty. Maybe that is the reason that many relatively new music classes are during much better than Sangeet Sadhana though SS has started its school long time back.
