I am Ardra, received a call from an associate from Grand Vivanta Vacations Pvt Ltd on 28th April 2022. He informed us that they doing a campaign to promote hotel tourism in India and as part of the campaign they are giving 26 families in Trivandrum 3N-4D stay at 5 star Hotel anywhere in India for free. This campaign is being conducted all over India and that day they were having event at Trivandrum. He asked whether we are interested in this and we enquired further details like how you got our contact and what’s the criteria for selection etc is. He said that they are randomly picking people who purchased TATA car in last year. And this is for their promotion they are doing the campaign. After sometime another person called and invited us for a presentation in Hotel Uday Suites – The Graden Hotel, Trivandrum.
In the Hotel banquet hall there were around 20-25 families who arrived for the same and around 15 people who introduced themselves as Vivanta employees. Mr Gurpreet and Mr. Mithun and team convinced us that this campaign is organized for International Hotel & Restaurant Association and Vivanta is the partner which organize it in South-West India. We asked how the group benefits and they convinced us that over the years they spend Crores on advertisement and it didn’t benefit, hence they went for this campaign to directly reach out to customers. They gave us so many attractive offers and pushed us to purchase Vivanta membership plan worth 175000, and they offered that from this Membership, we will be able to avail 65 days stay in any 5 start hotel/resort around the world in next 10 years plus many other benefits. Me and my husband discussed and felt something is not right and declined to purchase it at first. They said if you can pay full amount they can give 50k flat refund, still we were not convinced and they said we can take in EMI as well and can book a nearby 5 star hotel this weekend and experience it first before payment. Finally they convinced us to take it for 1, 40000/- in EMI for 18 months and made us sign some papers in the Vivanta Holiday agreement.
On the first day Mr. Midhun was very quick to respond to queries over phone and next day we got a mail.But what was offered to us in the event and details in the mail seems to be contradictory and again we reached out to Mr. Mithun and he promised us that we will get another mail with all details next day. It’s been 6 days and we didn’t get any communication after that and suddenly Mr. Mithun stopped responding to our calls and messages. Till now we didn’t get any member login ID and password. I mailed them several times but not responding.
We felt like this is some fraud and we called Vivanta from their official website and even they didn’t answer to our queries clearly and we felt that we are being cheated. We found similar concerns and complaints online and we have decided to file police complaint against the fraud before they trap more people.
I want my refund and also want to cancel my membership. If someone can help to track them, please help us.
