The Globetrot Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. (MCA LLPIN/CIN/1A Ref No. U93000MH2013PTC250953), a Mumbai based immigration consultancy offered me an immigration opportunity to Canada country with a suitable job and permanent residency visa. Initially, I opted to go with job + work permit visa, however, Mr. Mohan Iyer, the General Manager & HR Operations, Globetrot, advised me to opt for a permanent residency visa instead of work permit visa.
To proceed with my application, they asked me to sign up with them a contractual agreement (SLA) for their services, and charged me fees in two installments, i.e. Rs. 10, 000 on 10 Jan, 2015 followed by Rs. 80, 000 on 09 May, 2015. This agreement was signed on the terms of finding a suitable job offer from Canadian employer matching my profile and skill set and applying for the permanent residency visa for the Canada country. The procedure advised by Mr. Mohan Iyer was as follows.
1. Firstly, a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) (then Labor Market Opinion (LMO)) would be procured on the behalf of me from the Canadian government which will take around 6-8 months.
2. Following to this, they will search a suitable job for me by arranging job interviews from Canadian employers.
3. Post job selection, they will apply for the permanent residency VISA.
During my application with them, I had several communications over the email and telephone to inquire status of the LMIA procurement and further progress on my application. However, from the date of signup till 18 Feb, 2016, throughout I was advised, that my profile is in LMIA procurement stage, and on 18 Feb, 2016, in one of the conversation over the telephone with Mr. Mohan Iyer, he confirmed that they have successfully procured the LMIA and my file has been moved to the next stage. Later, for my reference, when I asked Mr. Iyer the LMIA detail over the telephone, he refrained to provide me with the details citing his organization’s policy and confidentiality. However, on 21 May, 2016 when I asked Mr. Iyer in written over the email to provide the LMIA details, in his response, he completely refused and stated that neither he nor any of his staff member has ever confirmed the procurement of LMIA for me. As an evidence, I have many recorded conversations wherein he has confirmed the LMIA procurement.
As per the agreement, they asked for 16-18 months for the whole process to complete, however, to date, neither any job interview has been scheduled nor they refunded my money. Throughout, they kept me in illusion, that they will procure an LMIA for me, followed by a job and PR, however, that was merely a false commitment, a big bluff and lies all over. I have paid them a total of Rs. 91, 000 (including Rs. 1000 for the profile evaluation and rest Rs. 90000 in two installments as stated above). Now, I feel like cheated and suffering from mental agony and harassment. I ended with empty hands with a loss of valuable time. I am looking for the refund and a legitimate action against them as per the Indian constitution of law and amendments.

I completely agree with you Suren. As an ex employee, I have witnessed this brazen scheme day in day out running under the garb of legit business. I was too naive back then to realize that I would be working for a company that borders on illegality. Thankfully I realised before long and I quit within days .To all the readers here, beware of these schemes . There is no easy way to get into West and you can’t simply get a stamp on your passport by paying money to these consultancies.
Labor market in West is highly competitive now and they prefer lads who have attended local universities. You have slim chances of migrating to your dreamland unless you employer is ready to sponsor your visa or have a degree from that country.
