On 20/05/2022, we were invited at IBIS hotel, Gurgaon, for a complimentary 3N/4D holiday gift voucher and were requested to attend a presentation by Mr Shahbaz Alam, Ms Alka Rathore and Mr Kapil. They showed us their resorts catalog and RCI website and their tie-ups with many good resorts. We were told if we take the complimentary gift voucher, it will not be valid on holidays and peak season timings and we have to mail for booking 2 weeks in advance however if we buy their 5 year- 35 nights membership plan for Rs. 95000/- it will be valid throughout all season and we can inform them regarding booking 2 days in advance. We were also promised extra offers like 6N/7D stay along with return flight tickets for us anywhere in India, 3N/4D Jim Corbett stay and Rs. 20000 Diamond jewellery or Parlour voucher. They told us we will be provided with 4- and 5-star properties and that the breakfast will be complimentary and also there will be upto 40% off on food and beverages. They didn’t want to give time to think about it and kept insisting that this offer is valid only for today and finally we made the payment and bought the membership the same day.
After that, I requested a booking the next day for Manesar. The first red flag came when they mentioned that the breakfast shall not be complimentary and we have to pay for it in advance. After many calls and persistently telling them what we were told on the table when we bought the membership, they finally provided us with a complimentary breakfast. They didn’t give us a resort but considering it was on a short notice, we didn’t think much about it. Since then everytime I place a booking request they tell us either they don’t have any tie-ups in those locations, or they ask us to change the dates or they provide sub-standard options. In total I’ve availed 3 bookings in total, that too after continuous exchange of mails and calls, it is causing great stress mentally and emotionally considering the money we have invested and the value we are getting back. On independence day weekend they told us they are sold out. On new year they told us they can’t take bookings from 25th dec to 10th Jan, which was not told to us when we bought the membership. Now when we placed a request to avail our hotel with flights package, they told us we have to place a request between March to August months. This all clearly shows what a fraud company Club Meridien is. Mr Shahbaz Alam and Ms Alka Rathore have been avoiding our calls now and our relationship manager Ms Meera Kaur doesn’t care about what we were told on table when we bought the membership, they always have reasons ready to deny us our package benefits. Mr Kapil is the only one who has tried his best in helping us avail our bookings. My enrollment number is CM/05/2022/1754 as mentioned in the approval form and loyalty card certificate but in the welcome mail they have mentioned CM/05/2022/6648. I don’t know if this is also a part of their fraud. I request to kindly get our money refunded after whatever deductions they want to make for 3 bookings they have given us so far. Thanks.
